Congratulation to Matt Redman for Winning this Award from All of Us at Dancity. November 3rd: Matt Redman was among the winners attending the 31st annual ASCAP (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) Awards at the Grosvenor House Among others celebrated during the evening were U2 for ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’, Paul McCartney for ‘Come Together’, Taio Cruz for ‘Dynamite’ and Coldplay for ‘Viva La Vida’. “It was such a special evening,” says Matt, “and honestly a bit surreal to be invited there alongside all these influential songwriters I’ve looked up to for years. The highlight for me was the video clip of ‘Our God’ they showed as we walked up to receive the award. It was amazing to hear that song of worship being played in an environment I would never have dreamt of hearing it in.” This was not Matt’s first award ceremony this year - in February he attended the GRAMMYs where he was nominated for Best Gospel Song - and nor is this his first ASCAP: in 2009 he was awarded Christian Songwriter of the Year. Les Moir (Kingsway Head of A&R), who accompanied Matt to this year’s ceremony commented:
