A worship album with a difference in the sense that these classic church songs are being reprise with the vocal power of some soul legend from the eighties and nineties, I have to confess that at first I was not motivated to play the CD as I felt there is enough talent in the Church

we do not need old soul legends to cover these outstanding church songs but I finally got it, that by these soul legend covering these songs it will end up reaching new audience beyond the church. And to be frank some of these great soul legends did start off in the church so I guess they are returning back to their roots. I am sure some of them have recommitted their life to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There are some interesting collaboration as well so it all good because they are praising our Lord. So what so legend are featured on this album: Melba Moore, Teddy Pendergrass, Regina Belle, Jody Watley, Freddie Jackson, Evelyn "Champagne" King and Much more. The album feature a nice blend of classic such songs such as Days of Elijah, Shout to the Lord, My Tribute, Total Praise, My Redeemer and much more. With out a doubt this album is OUTSTANGING in term of vocal and production and YES it is a big budget. The finally test should you buy this album? I would strongly recommend it for your collect and just hear how some of these soul legends reprise some of the church classic in a new breath and width. While is Michelle Paris or Chaka Khan not on this album? I would score it 5 out 5.
