REND COLLECTIVE EXPERIMENT: HOMEMADE WORSHIP BY HANDMADE PEOPLE

OUT NOW, Already No. #42 in the UK iTunes chart
Just a few hours in and Rend Collective Experiment’s second album has steadily climbed up the mainstream iTunes chart in the UK. Having started in the 80s, ‘Homemade Worship By Handmade People’ closed the day at an impressive number 42. In the Amazon Mover And shakers Chart the album has also reached number 12.
The follow up to their 2009 debut, ‘Homemade Worship By Handmade People’ is an album that already looks set to climb even higher. Last week’s three-date UK album launch saw the band begin to share the album’s infectious homegrown appeal. Through songs that are as rich in one and melody as they are in honesty and truth, ‘Homemade Worship By Handmade People’ appears to be resonating with everyone who hears it.
Gareth Gilkeson - Rend’s drummer - knows why: “Things that are homemade demand so much more time and love than something made from a factory, yet they are always worth it; the quality and uniqueness are what is beautiful. We refused to make an album in a studio separate from our normal lives. Humanity and the Divine are what we are celebrating here…”
The band’s debut - ‘Organic Family Hymnal vol. 1’ - grew in part thanks to a viral ‘iPhone worship’ video, UK tours with Francis Chan and Shane Claibourne, as well as a major market, old out US tour with Chris Tomlin and Louie Giglio. With the release of ‘Homemade Worship By Handmade People’, Rend Collective Experiment will be spending much of 2012 in thew US, touring constantly.
